  •  One 56g block of# 75 chocolate
  •  One 56g block of # 70 sahara
  • Set of basic sculpting tools

  • Protected clean work surface
Condition some sunflower Fimo Soft by rolling it in your hands and create a 1cm thick worm. Cut the worm into 2cm long segments and taper each end to form little bananas.
Condition the chocolate Fimo Soft and make a 5cm long by 3cm wide egg shape for the body. Clean your hands so you don’t transfer colour onto the light clay and condition a 2cm ball of sahara coloured Fimo Soft. Flatten the small sahara ball into a pancake that fits on the chest of the chocolate body egg.
Condition the sahara clay and roll a 2.5cmball. Flatten the front of the top of the ball with your thumb. This is where the eyes will be. Flatten a small ball of chocolate to 3mm thick and cut two arches from the front of the flattened ball. This will be the monkey’s hairline. Place the hair on the monkeys head and gently press in place. Use a pencil or stylus tool to push some eye indents into the monkeys face. Push the head onto the monkey’s body and gently twist to secure it.
Make two small balls of chocolate Fimo Soft and flatten them for ears. Mix some sunflower clay and some chocolate clay to make a lighter brown colour for the inside of the ears and the nose.
Roll four worms of Chocolate colour Fimo Soft that are 1cm wide and 6cm long for the arms and legs, and one worm that is ¾ cm wide and 8cm long for the tail. Cut mitten shapes into one end of each of the arm and leg worms.
Assemble the monkey by placing the legs first and posing them as you would like them. Then add the arms and the tail. Don’t forget to have him hold some bananas. Place your finished monkey on a non food use baking sheet and bake according to package instructions.
Use a toothpick to create the eyes
